“Ser dueño”: Criterio de la familia Kukama

This article explores the term “family” in the indigenous people, of the Peruvian Amazon, Kukama. Blood is the great vehicle that holds families. It’s parents that transmit blood to the children, been children the fruits of his father. The mother is not his blood, this is the result of his father although life is conceived in couple. With the emergence of several children, parents make their own home. Children are educated from a very tender age to possess this determination. The market entry and the introduction of money creates adaptations of families to new situations. In the background is perceived State actions that favours oil companies without considering the consequences suffered by indigenous peoples, being these impacts determining in the configurations of the families.
