This is the fifth and final instalment on the transfiguration of a Pope, Paul VI, clairvoyant, dialoguing, ecumenical, ecclesial, endearing, committed, good, helmsman of the Second Vatican Council, which promulgated a programmatic encyclical letter, Ecclesiam suam, at the beginning of his pontificate, which was to be an incentive for that Council and a source of inspiration for the post-conciliar Church. Here I try to point out what his transfiguration consisted of: a persistent configuration with Christ for the world, from the gospel and tradition, a life lived and acted like laudis canticum, logiké latreia, libation of a soft smell, carried to the extreme love of a seamless fidelity to His / his Church.
