Los primeros pasos del cristianismo alejandrino

Abstract

In the present study we review the various hypotheses that have been invoked to explain the controversial origin of the first Christian community in Alexandria by using an analysis of a vast number of sources both biblical and parabiblical, canonical and apocryphal, in order to describe the real nature of this so-called “Christianity marginalized”. We have applied a complex methodology which combines a philological study and a historical- sociological analysis.
