The Pope has authority over all the Church and his judgement is final and without appeal. But, according to Saint Thomas Aquinas, Cayetano and Pedro de Aragon, the Pope can allow to be under trial by a baptized with a sentence mandatory for the good of the Church. This does not mean that the subdit has neither authority nor any superiority on the Roman Pontiff.
