The thinkers have always a great influence in the hour of developing and carry forward his thought about the life and the human contingency. J. Maritain is one of philosophers closest to the Christian faith in the twentieth century. His life, trajectory and ideas have influenced several pontificates, especially John Baptist Montini (Paul VI). He has influenced the Social Doctrine of the Church and the political project of the Christian Democracy.
