Abstract

Paul VI, the Pope who was visionary, simple, prophetic, dialoguing, ecumenical and spiritual, knew how to guide masterly the church in the new Pentecost of Vatican II, and concretised his genius in the programmatic writing “Ecclesiam suam“, which would influence not only his entire pontificate and the very Council itself but also the task of various Christian generations including ours. He lived the cross, always in the shadow of its light. Here we analyse it.
