In this work, I examine the history of ecumenism from the Second Vatican Council to the present day. I pay special attention to the contributions of non-Catholic churches and Rome's stance toward these contributions. I conclude with the guidelines that, in accordance with the Council's teachings, should be followed to achieve unity of Christians.
