Information For Authors

Estudio Agustiniano admits articles, studies, notes, reviews from any researcher who wishes to collaborate with the journal. Manuscripts will be sent to the journal on computer support, in electronic version, in a Word or RTF format file via email or the online submission system found on the journal's web platform. The original must be presented in its final version to avoid corrections or additions in the proofs, and must be adapted to the instructions given by the journal.

For registration, if it is the first time that it is accessed, it is necessary to register in that same place as a new user of the journal's platform, or to identify yourself with your username and password, if you have already registered previously. To complete the submission of a text, follow the instructions for submitting manuscripts online in five steps.

1.- ETHICAL AND LEGAL CONDITIONS

Sending an article to Estudio Agustiniano implies:

  1. a) That the manuscript is original, unpublished and has not been previously published on paper or digitally.
  2. b) That the text has not been proposed for publication in any other medium simultaneously while it is being reviewed by Estudio Agustiniano.

Authors are responsible for the content of their manuscripts. Articles with a high degree of similarity to previously published works, including the author's own works, will be considered plagiarism.

Authors wishing to include images, figures, tables or passages of text that have already been published elsewhere must obtain permission from the copyright owner for the print and online format and include evidence that such permission has been awarded when submitting your documents. Any material received without such evidence will be presumed to come from the authors.

2.- SUBMITTING AND PRESENTATION OF ORIGINALS

Upon receipt of an article for publication, an immediate acknowledgment of receipt will be given and within a period of one week, a member of the Editorial Board will check if it complies with the journal's own standards (citation, abstracts and keywords in Spanish and English, etc.), while conducting a first review to decide whether to start the formal evaluation procedure. The author is informed of the result of this first reading and in case of not being accepted, the reason will be adduced and the evaluation process is interrupted.

If the articles is accepted in this first reading, the peer review system will be started.

3.- EVALUATION SYSTEM BY PEER REVIEW

The articles accepted for examination will be submitted to the review of two external evaluators appointed by the Editorial Board of the journal, following the double-blind method. In case of divergence in the opinions, a third deciding report will be requested. Within a maximum period of three months, the journal will send the authors of the articles the final decision with the reasons and other pertinent observations made in the review process. In the event that both reviewers recommend improvements and a new revision, the author will be informed of the changes that he must make so that his original can be published. The editor, after consulting the Editorial Board in cases of discrepancy, will ultimately decide the publication of the articles and report the result of the evaluation to the author, indicating, even in case of acceptance, possible suggestions for improvement.

Upon receipt of the final version, the editor will communicate to the author in which issue of the year it will be included for its publication.

4.- PUBLICATION

Articles will be sent in first galley proofs to the authors for their review, in order to correct minor and typographical errors. There can be no substantial modification of the text. It should be noted that this is not the time to correct the style or content of the article. The revised text must be returned within a period of no more than two weeks from receipt. In the event that the tests do not arrive on the indicated date, the corrections will be made by the editor, declining all responsibility.

Once the article is published, the authors are assigned one number of the journal where their article appears, as well as 10 copies of the print version of the article and the PDF file that contains the digital printed version.
