Abstract

In this work we study three positions on the intellect agent during the XVth century: a) averroism, defended by authors as Paul of Venice, Gaetano of Thiene, Elias the Beggar and Pedro Pomponazzi; b) nominalism, supported by Gabriel Biel; c) eclecticism, that is to say, partly averroism and partly nominalism, since it is the case of Nicoletto Vernias and Nicolas de Amsterdam.
