This article evokes the main topics of the Encyclical "Fides er ratio" (Joan Paul II), explaining his understanding of the relationship between reason and faith, philosophy and theology, in the search for truth. Next is explained the conception of the relationship between faith, reason and love in the Encyclical "Lumen Fidei" (Pope Francis). The relevance of the Encyclicla lies in its opoennes in relation to reason and its capacity to reach the truth.
