Abstract

This essay is a programmatic study with the aim of proposing a new model for the comprehension and development of Spirituality.  Using the key notion of ‘Religatio’, from an Augustinian inspiration, Spirituality is presented as a project in history, parting from the Mystery, which is Origin as well as Originary (or the same Origin at the end and as a goal) after the enriching experience, which is mediation.  The result is a vigorous presentation of the essence of Spirituality in its metaphysical pretension, historical realization, and sacramentological or experiential mediation. All these would open new horizons of comprehension.
