The figure of Jesus Christ has divided history into a before and after: ante Christum, post Christum. His resurrection signs the main day of the week, which rhythms work and rest, dominicus, “of the Lord”. The words that identify him, messiah and Christ, have been included in all the languages of the world. His first disciples have named great cities around the planet: Saint Petersburg, Sao Paulo, Santiago, San Juan. The Bible, particularly the New Testament, is the most widely read and influential book of all time. Believers consider him “the light of the nations” (Lk 2,32)… Why became this character so decisive?
