Jesús y sus maestros en el Evangelio de la infancia de Tomás. Una profesión de alto riesgo

El Evangelio de la Infancia según Tomás (InfJes) narra tres episodios en los que Jesús, durante su infancia, asiste a la escuela para aprender el alfabeto. Sin embargo, su actitud desafiante genera conflictos con los maestros, quienes lo castigan, provocando su ira con graves consecuencias para ellos. ´Jesús demuestra un conocimiento excepcional del alfabeto y una sabiduría que trasciende lo humano, ridiculizando a sus instructores. Los estudios previos han resaltado este conocimiento divino, pero han pasado por alto su figura como maestro, evidente al conectar estos elatos con el clímax del evangelio, que culmina con Jesús enseñando a fariseos y doctores en el Templo. La descalificación de los maestros judíos frente a "Jesús maestro" podría leerse como una crítica contra los maestros judíos frente a "Jesús maestro" podría leerse como una crítica contra los maestros judíos y, al mismo tiempo, como una exhortación a los padres cristianos a confiar la educación de sus hijos a maestros cristianos.
