The Virgin Mary had been present in the Philippines since 1521. She had accompanied the process of evangelization, becoming one of the pillars of the Christian faith of the Philippine people. The main religious Orders -particularly the Augustinian Order-, carried from Spain, Mexico and China paintings and sculptures of Mary and promote different devotions. Those models inspired the local artists that created important works of art dedicated to the Virgin Mary. In this research are presented, particularly, the main philippine images of the Virgin Mary, that can be found in the Museo San Agustín of Manila (Philippines) and in the Museo Oriental, Archive and Library of the Real Colegio de PP. Agustinos de Valladolid (Spain). Those works of art were done in sculpture –mainly carved on ivory–, and also in paint- ing and engravings between the XVII and the XX centuries. The study is completed with 70 colour illustrations related to the text.
