An Augustinian reading of Micah 6,8, on Justice, Mercy and Humility

Este artículo presenta una lectura agustiniana de Miqueas 6, 8 centrándose en la exhortación profética de "practicar la justicia, amar la misericordia y caminar humilde con Dios". El estudio comienza con un análisis exegético de Miqueas 6, 1-8 dentro de su contexto literario y de la alianza, examinando la crítica profé´tica de la religión cultica y las exigencias éticas arraigadas en la relación del pueblo de Israel con YHWH. Se da una atención particular al tripartito requerimiento de la justicia, la misericordia y la humidad como la auténtica respuesta esperada desde la comunidad de la alianza. El artículo explora la interpretación agustiniana de este pasaje en la Ciudad de Dios 10. 6, el Sermón 48 y el Serón 49, junto con los temas relevantes dibujados desde otras obras. El arguye que Agustín comprende estas tres virtudes no meramente como obligaciones morales sino como expresiones de ofrenda interior de una vida orientada hacia Dios por medio de Cristo. La justicia se fundamenta en el amor ordenado, la misericordia manifiesta participación en la compasión divina, y la humildad refleja la entrega kenótica de Cristo. Consecuentemente, las acciones visibles éticas se convierten en signos de un sacrificio invisible unido a la acción salvífica de Cristo. El estudio demuestra que la interpretación agustiniana transforma la interpretación profética de Miqueas en una visión cristológica del discipulado cristiano orientado hacia la comunión con Dios
