In this article I present a study, based on the documents that exist in the Archive of the Augustinian Province of the Philippines, of the entire process that the aforementioned religious Province had to carry out until its definitive establishment in the old premonstratensian monastery. The reason for this foundation was the following: the large number of aspirants to the augustinian religious life with a view to the mission overseas would make the prestigious Royal College of Filipinos of Valladolid unable to satisfy this demand to welcome everyone, and for this reason, the need arose to look for another house where to establish another school where future missionaries would be formed. After the appropriate steps, the augustinian school of La Vid became a reality on October 1, 1866.
