This paper shows a descriptive analysis of the literary precept book by the Augustinian priest Manuel Fernández Rodríguez (1914-2015), book entitled Teoría e Historia de los géneros literarios (1946). In addition, it is offered, initially, an introduction of the author and his work, trying on the whole to honor the intellectual teaching and the literary skill of the religious.
