The books of religious professions are a documentary source of the first order for the knowledge of the human, cultural and social characteristics of the members of a religious province. Throughout seven consecutive works, each of the books of professions preserved in the San Agustín de Zaragoza convent (1605-1834; except the seventh book, 1730-1799, for being lost) and the basic data of the professors will be presented. : name (s) and surnames, what their parents were called, place of origin or birth, parish of baptism, date of religious profession, name of the prior (or subprior) of the house and of the prior general of the Order of Saint Augustine, who was the novice master, and even the notary who attested to the fact of profession. In turn, the records of the profession offer other details of no less importance for the multifaceted task of the historian.This article deals with the eighth and last book of professions of the San Agustín de Zaragoza convent (1799-1834).
