The monastery of San Agustín de Segovia was one of the most emblematic of the castilian city. Located in the center of the city, a
few meters from the cathedral and the Plaza Mayor, it had a vigorous past until the time of nineteenth - century confiscations, which made a historical, religious and cultural legacy disappear. This religious house owned a large number of goods (rustic, urban, artistic...), common tonic in all the monasteries of that time and of which the inventories of goods made by the liberal governments of the first half of the XIXth century are privileged witnesses. From its detailed reading you can see how the mentioned monastery and the community of Augustinian friars who lived in their cloisters, received an impressive heritage as a result of the marked religiosity of contemporary people to this foundation.
