Abstract

Books have been fundamental throughout human history as guardians of knowledge, preserving intellectual and cultural heritage from the Mesopotamian tablets to the digital age. libraries were born to manage documents and knowledge, achieving significant milestones, such as the Library of Alexandria, which sought to gather universal knowledge. On a more modest scale, the Library of Leo XIV aims to collect, catalogue, and provide information about books "by" and "about" the first Augustinian Pope. It comprises three sections: Magisterium, Biographies, and Studies and Essays. Each book is presented with an objective, clear, and precise synopsis or overview, highlighting its central ideas. The books in the Library of Leo XIV possess biographical and historical, doctrinal and spiritual value, critical method and editorial rigor, while contributing not only to the renewed development of the life and evangelizing action of the Church in the contemporary world, but also promoting critical reflection on the most pressing cultural, political, social and ethical issues of our time.
