Bebiendo de las fuentes feministas de tradición agustiniana: el Jardín de las Nobles Doncellas de Martín de Córdoba

Abstract

The friar Martín de Córdoba is one of the authors of the Augustinian Tradition, who is among the pro-feminist writers on the threshold of the fifteenth century for his book El Jardín de las Nobles Doncellas, written for the education of Isabella of Castile. In this article, a comparative reading is made with three other significant authors of the same feminist line, such as Francisco Eiximenis, Álvaro de Luna and Mosén Diego Valera, in order to appreciate more precisely their contributions to anthropological and moral reflection on women in the initial moments of pre-Renaissance humanism.
